A Celebration of Life Hattie Lois Watters Worrell
Obituary
Hattie Lois began her journey August 24, 1957. She was guided by her Shinning Stars, Rufus and Eddie Mae Watters, and welcomed in the family by Edward, Rufus Jr., and Anita.
Hattie Lois began her Christian journey at the age of 7, baptized by her father, Pastor Rufus Watters, Sr., during his pastorage at Macedonia Baptist Church, Matador, Texas. Hattie Lois graduated from Caldwell High School and later attended IT Tech in Houston. She also completed EMT Training.
Hattie Lois was named after her two grandmothers. She is the mother of three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Hattie Lois loved to fish, sing and play the tambourine. She loved spending time with her family. She also loved sharing her journey with those who were at the Cross Roads of Life. Those who preceded her in death, Pastor Rufus Watters, Sr., Minister Eddie Mae Watters; grandparents and brother, Edward E. Lawson.
Hattie Lois, in later years became a member of “The Fellowship” under the pastorage of Calvin Arnold. She has had many spiritual mentors along her journey, Pastor Helen Green of Holy Temple and also Minister Sharon Burton.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Gregory B. Edwards, Hallie (David) Dafney (Mayson), Rodrick L. Watters, Candace, Bryce, Christian, Mae Lee, Venetia S. Worrell (James) Nyland, Nyssiah; brother, Rufus Watters, Jr. (Gladys A.); sisters, Anita Williams, nephew, Isaac, Jr.; special friends and a host of other relatives and friends.
