Obituary

Delman Tarver was born on April 13, 1946, to Elnora and Cyrus Tarver in
Houston, Texas.
Delman graduated from Worthing High School and was later drafted into the
United States Army, serving three years in honorable service. He then worked for
Alcoa Aluminum Company for over thirty years.
Delman accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Evangelist Chapel
A&E Church. After relocating to Giddings, Texas, Delman joined Shorter Chapel
A&E Church and became a choir member, where he showcased his love of
singing. Later, Delman joined First United Methodist Church and served on the
Trustee Board for over ten years.
Delman Tarver departed this life on March 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by
his parents, Elnora and Cyrus Tarver; his sisters, Constance Tarver and Shirley
Lockhart; and his son, Drake Washington.
Delman leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Mary Tarver; his daughter,
Shareeica Roberts (Charles); his sons, Delman Tarver (Tracy) and Deon
Washington (Danette); his grandchildren, Charles Roberts Jr., Sydney Roberts,
Levi Tarver, Bryce Tarver, Shyene Tarver, Bobby Portillo, Amanda Portillo, Jamie
Portillo, and Joey Portillo; two brothers, John Tarver (Lela) and Sharone Tarver
(Sheila); nine great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation Service

Friday, April 5, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Daniel & Son Funeral Home located at 401 West 18th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803
