Obituary

Lynn Hunter was born on March 9, 1960 to Celestine Newton and Jodie R Rice in
Bryan, Texas, where she attended Bryan Public Schools. Lynn was fortunate to have a
bonus father Robert Hunter who raised her.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Church of the living GOD. Lynn was a currently
a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Lynn met and married Glenn Mitchell whom she later divorced then spent over 30
years with her love Robert L. (Bobby) Hunter until his death in 2019.
Lynn was known to be a social butterfly she enjoyed LIFE. Whatever obstacles thrown
her way; she conquered them all with a smile on her face. Lynn was a long-time bus
driver of Bryan ISD.
She was preceded in death by fathers Jodie Rice, Robert Hunter, grandparents Willie
Rice, Sophie Idlebird-Rice, Ernest Newton and Thelma Johnson-Thornton, and
brother Kenneth Rice.
She leaves to cherish her memory, mother: Celestine Smith (Sam); sons Glenn
Newton (Melinda) of Hempstead, Texas, and Marcus McKever of Bryan, Texas; and
daughter Brittney Hunter of Houston, Texas; brothers: Robert C Hunter of College
Station, Texas and Ernest Hunter of Bryan, Texas; sisters: Ramona Hutchins (Melvin)
of Houston, Texas, Thelma Hanks (Melvin ll) of Bryan, Texas, Beverly Hunter
(Chequita Tennell) of Bryan, Texas, Minnie James (Ronnie) Bryan, Texas, Lee Hunter
of Bryan, Texas, Nicole Hunter of Dallas, Texas, Tamika Williford (Steve) of Bryan,
Texas, and Latonya Hunter of Bryan, Texas; Grandkids: Brittany Taylor, James Taylor
(Nadia), Tyesha Newton, Lynda Newton, Shania Newton, Melvin Reed Jr, Londiin
Dickerson, Legacy Henry, Lamyia Dewberry, Mylez Dewberry, Zoraya Gongora;
Great-grand kids: Aiden Morris, Malaya Briggs, Damian Morris, Damon Pittman,
Jr., Nyla Newton, Emir Amerson-Newton, Kannon Walker, Kailani Walker-Amerson,
and Kaliyah Dates; goddaughter: Kaylyn Step; Honorary daughters: LaKesha
McKever, Krystla Johnson, Shantre Watson, Latonya Payton; and a host of nieces,
nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, and extended family; Special Friends: Gayla and
Greg Banks, Darlene Ford, Toya Gooden, Clara Taylor, Hazel McGown, Linda Allen,
Mae Crain, Lydia Williams, and Mr. Don.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 03, 2023 3:00P.M. United Full Gospel Baptist Church 1600 West Martin Luther King, Jr. Bryan, Texas 77803 Reverend Byrrone Watson, Eulogist Reverend Michael Henry, Officiating

Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 11:00A.M. until 7:00P.M. at Daniel & Son Funeral Home located at 401 W 18th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803
