Obituary
Jonas Lewis, Jr. was born March 13, 1941 to Nannie B. Cooper Lewis and Jonas Lewis, Sr. in Mumford, Texas.
Jonas accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He attended Ed Wilson Elementary School.
Jonas enjoyed fishing, hunting and family gatherings.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nannie B. Lewis and Jonas Lewis, Sr., wife, Amelia Lewis, son, Joseph Lewis, sisters, Rosie Lewis, Hattie Yemme, and Ora Davis.
Jonas leaves to cherish his memories, sons, Jonas M. Lewis (Petunia Lewis), Ron Lewis, Bryant, Turner (Cheryl Richardson), Quincy Lewis, Greg Foster, William Nelson, and Joseph Lewis; daughters, Jennifer Lewis, Jennifer Turner, and Rolainda Nelson; brothers, Arthur Cooper (Christine Cooper), Ruben Cooper, Johnny Lewis, and C. Edward Lewis; sisters, Lovie Haywood, Frances Cooper and Linda Lewis, 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 11:00 AM

Visitation Services will be held on Friday June 23, 2023 from 12:00PM until 7:00PM at Daniel &Son Funeral Home located at 401 W 18th Street Bryan, Texas 77803
