Obituary
Rodney Terrell Young, Sr. was born on May 12, 1972 to Frank Walker and Mary Florence
Elmore Young in Caldwell, Texas. He accepted Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age at
Dabney Hill Baptist Church. Rodney received his education in Bryan Independent School District, where he graduated from Bryan High School.
Rodney loved family gathering, football, enjoyed giving words of wisdom. Rodney departed this
life on Monday, March 29,2021 at Chi St. Joseph Regional Health Center, in Bryan, Texas.
Proceeding him in death his father Frank Walker; one brother ,Darryl Young,; one sister,
Rotanda Walker; grandparents, Sammie Elmore & Gladys Elmore.
Rodney’s memory will live on through the life of all his remaining family. Left to cherish his
memories are his mother, Mary Florence Young; seven children, Brittany Young, Terikka Young,
Ti’Ajanae Young, Rodney Young, Jr., Monrell Young, Ja’Keirah Young and Ta’Savion Young;
six siblings, Paula Baskin (Kenith), Tara Jackson (Willie), Crissunda Young (William), Ebony
Tates, Angelica Tates, and Becky Walker.
Special friends, Tony Young, Brad Howard, Steven Hargrove, and Lawrence Wallace, and host
of other relatives and friends.
