Alfred Walter Curtis

Alfred Walter Curtis was born on October 12, 1958 to W. D. Maxey and Doris M.Taylor. He attended Navasota Independent School District and was well known for his jokes, smiles, being kind hearted and love for his family. He enjoyed playing dominoes and he was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.

He worked at Brazos County Roads & Bridges for twenty two years. He recently retired this July of 2020 from being a Heavy Equipment Operator (Truck Driver). He accepted Christ in July, 2018 at New Chapel Baptist Church, where he loved to fellowship and praise God. He was a faithful servant until the end.

Preceding him in Death are his grandparents, Arthur and Alberta Maxey; his father, W. D. Maxey and stepmother, Leona Maxey; mother-in-law, Alvessie Cooper; his son,
Alfred C. White; and his two aunts, Charlene Kegler and Loraine “LoLo” Thornton.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Shaunda K. Curtis; one daughter, Jori Bazy (Terrance Bazy); one son, Ronald White; his mother, Doris Taylor; a daughter/niece, Jamica Ealoms; three grandchildren, Amaiya White, Amoria Bazy and Karmeron White; one unborn great granddaughter; three sisters, Shelia Goosby (Lonnie), Wanda Maxey (Jr) and Dorothy Taylor (Rozell); three brothers, Bennie Taylor Sr. (Ella), Robert Taylor (Debra) and Chris Maxey; four stepbrothers and one stepsister along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 17, 2020 from 2pm to 6pm in the chapel of Daniel and Son Funeral Home located at 401 W. 18th st., Bryan, Tx 77803.

Saturday, July 18, 2020 @ 10:30 A.M. Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery Tx-21 Bryan, Tx. 77803.
