Donnie Ray Washington
Sunrise: January 12, 1957
Donnie was born on January 12, 1957 in Huntsville, Tx to A.L. Cox Harrison and Katie Lee Washington. At an early age Donnie was baptized and he confessed his love for Christ. He continued to follow Christ and joined the North Bryan New Birth Baptist church located in Bryan, Tx where he continued to depend on Christ until his dimise.
He attended Huntsville independent School District and graduated from Huntsville High School with the class of 1975. He was employed as a correctional officer at the Prison system at the Correctional Facility in Huntsville, Texas. He was a former Agent for TDCJ. He later enlisted in the U.S. navy from September 21, 1979 to October 20, 1982 where he became a Culinary Specialist. Donnie was a devoted chef. His favorite pastime was cooking for family and friends and enjoying various culinary dishes.
Donnie is proceeded in death by his grandparents; his mother, Katie Lee Collins; his father, A.L.Cox Harrison; one Aunt, Earlene Spivey; two brothers, Albert Lee Collins and Williams Wallace Collins III.
Donnie is survived by three sisters, Mary Lawton of College Station, Loretta Collins and Joann Collins, both of Bryan, Texas two brothers, Adrian Cox Harrison ( Ketrena) of Baytown, Texas and Wayne Bibbs and a beloved dog Xena along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
