James “JJ” Edward Jones Sept. 10, 1946-Dec. 4, 2014 James “JJ” Edward Jones, 68, of Bryan passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, at Greater Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Lawrence Hicks officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 12, in the Daniel & Son Funeral Home Chapel. James was born September 10, 1946 in Caldwell to O.C. Love and Frankie Lee Manuel. He graduated from Burleson County public school system and was a member of Greater Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family. His father, O.C. Love and brother, Michael L. Manuel Sr., preceded him in death Survivors include his mother, Frankie Lee Manual of Bryan; two sons, Rev. Derrick Gentry of Bryan and Damon Jones of Houston; daughter, Javaughn Jones of Houston; four sisters, Toni Manuel, Meredith Gaines, Melanie Jones, all of Dallas, and Cynthia Hodrick of Bryan; two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters; special friend, Wanda Wilmore of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
