Dorothy Jean Shields

Dorothy Jean Shields, 63, passed away at Hermann Memorial City Hospital on Saturday, October 31, 2015.  She is of Houston, and formerly from Bryan, Texas.  Visitation will be held from 10a.m.–7p.m on Friday, November 6, 2015, at Daniel & Son Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Services are at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Bryan, Texas, with the Rev. Ronald Allen Jr., officiating and Dr. Anthony L. Ross, Sr. eulogizing.  Interment immediately after services at Oakwood Cemetery located in Bryan, Texas.

Dorothy was born on September 1, 1952, in Bryan, Texas to the parents of Thomas and Earline Shields.  After high school at E.A. Kemp, Dorothy went on to further her education and graduated from Texas Southern University of Houston, Texas.  She enjoyed music and spending time with friends and family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Donald Shields.  She leaves to carry on her memories one brother; Thomas Shields, Jr. (Amanda) and one sister; Alice Shields Lewis (Joe) and a very dear and special friend; Phil Moore.
